Neonatologist
Duties and responsibilities:
The neonatologist is pediatricians who have received additional,
specialized training in the care of infants. Also is a doctor who is involved
with high risk infants, they work with premature babies that are born with
serious illnesses or those who contracts diseases , they focus on infants four
weeks old and maintain they save or care
their health.
Salary:
The median annual is of $168,650
Education:
After completing a four-year Bachelor of Science degree,
which may be known as “pre-med,” aspiring neonatologists enter medical school,
which takes another four years. Where the first two years teach students the
basics, including anatomy, physiology, biochemistry and pharmacology, while the
final two years include rotations in medical specialties, including pediatric
medicine. After completing medical school, students complete another three-year
residency, where they choose a specialty in pediatrics. Most then complete a
fellowship in neonatology for their final years of studies.
Reflection:
I really want to be a neonatologist, always I dream with
this career the possibility to care and save the life of the new person make me
feel happy and also if I am a hope for their and their families is an
experience that I really want to live and enjoy.
